Services & Techniques

Services Provided by Our Cornelius NC Chiropractor

At Pierce Family Chiropractic, we offer residents of Cornelius, Mooresville, Lake Norman, Davidson and the surrounding NC area a solution for back pain, neck pain and numerous other issues that are noninvasive. Our chiropractor uses techniques that help relieve pressure, swelling and promote harmony amongst your tissue, joints, and bones.

Chiropractic Services

Initial Examination

We conduct an initial examination that analyzes your body and evaluates where the problems of concern are. We may conduct x-rays to help us better develop a course of action to assist you. We'll gather information regarding your medical history that helps us to establish if you have any underlying health problems and what the safest course of action is. Part of your initial exam consists of range of motion tests that help us develop your treatment regimen based on where you are now and where you should be.

Chiropractic Alignments

One of the services our chiropractor utilizes to alleviate your pain is a chiropractic alignment. This particular treatment is comprised of our chiropractor manually manipulating the spine in order to take pressure off of the surrounding tissue and nerves. The treatment helps with posture. By aligning the spinal discs and vertebrae, the chiropractor enhances blood flow to the area, which helps with healing conditions such as a herniated disc. We use alignments to help those who have conditions such as sciatica, lower back pain, and degenerative disc disease.

Spinal Decompression Therapy

Another treatment we offer our patients is spinal decompression therapy. Spinal decompression therapy benefits those who have a disc herniation or degenerative discs. We use a nonsurgical form of decompression therapy that consists of the patient lying on a motorized traction device that gently stretches the spine. By stretching the spine, it reduces the pressure on the discs. Relieving the pressure means that the discs are able to heal more effectively.

Physical Therapy

Our chiropractor helps patients to restore their balance, coordination, and movement. We use exercises that help to reduce pain and increase flexion and your range of motion. We advise you on ways you can enhance your recovery and get back to living life as usual.

Massage Therapy

At our office, we supply you with a way to relieve your aches and pains and restore function through massage. We center this particular modality of our practice around myofascial release and soft tissue mobilization. Myofascial release focuses on the tough membranes that connect and support your muscles, known as the myofascial tissue. We target the areas that feel stiff using a light amount of force. This can help muscle and joint restriction. Soft tissue mobilization therapy is a type of massage that targets the soft tissue including the fat cells, muscles, skin, nerves, ligaments, cartilage, fascia, blood vessels, and tendons. These therapies relieve pain back and neck pain. We utilize these techniques for conditions such as tendonitis, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, strains, and sprains.

Sports Injuries

If you suffer from a sports injury, whether it's from table tennis, a running injury or rock climbing, we help you recover. We strive to tailor a treatment regimen that heals as you heal. In some cases, you may even have an increase in your performance.
